Govern and control the daily consumption of millions of LLM tokens used by its developers in tools designed to increase their technical productivity in software development tasks.
Role of AI Gateway
Sensedia AI Gateway served as a central mediation layer, enabling the project across three pillars: token control and provider abstraction, with a unified dashboard that tracks real-time consumption by user and abstracts the API even when switching LLMs; enterprise security, centralizing credentials in a secure vault and integrating SSO to prevent data leaks through personal accounts; and performance, with dynamic routing and automatic fallback between models to ensure uninterrupted workflows.
Results
The initiative scaled AI adoption with control, increasing consumption from 350 million to 1.26 billion tokens per day (with peaks of 2 billion), all fully audited and governed, without significant latency. Approximately 140 developers actively use the tool, benefiting from greater agility and task automation through MCP/Jira. Adoption has expanded into nontechnical departments, such as Marketing, democratizing access to advanced LLMs without burdening the budget with individual licenses.
