The Client's Challenge

The construction of an integration hub through a modern, API-based integration layer (both internal and external) that is scalable, robust, and reliable. It needed to be capable of supporting complex orchestrations and critical business flows to enable the launch of new strategic products.

Sensedia's Role

Sensedia Integrations (iPaaS) played a fundamental role in optimizing integrations by offloading the responsibility of orchestrating service calls from backend systems and centralizing this function into a dedicated integration layer. As a result, backend services could focus exclusively on business rules, leading to greater agility in delivering value to consumers. Sensedia also contributed its consulting services, redefining architectural standards, development best practices, and governance guidelines.

Results

API standardization, featuring clearly defined design standards, versioning, and policies. Significant security enhancements through the implementation of OAuth integrated with the corporate IdP, ensuring more robust authentication and authorization aligned with industry best practices. Increased observability via Data Stream for log ingestion into Datadog, enabling centralized monitoring, call traceability, failure analysis, and greater operational control. Enhanced governance and access control, with improved definition of profiles, plans, and consumption policies.
