Challenge
Ouribank sought to expand its market connection and serve international companies in Brazil by offering efficient payment and FX (foreign exchange) solutions. Modernizing legacy systems and infrastructure brought challenges: despite a segmented architecture and over 1,000 endpoints, low API governance led to redundancies and poor visibility. New partner onboarding was also a critical pain point.
Sensedia’s Role
The modernization of the Solutions Hub was the primary driver of the transformation led by Ouribank, supported by Sensedia. The institution began creating and operating new business models, offering comprehensive account, payment, and FX solutions integrated via APIs.
In addition to the Developer Portal and the API Management platform, Sensedia provided support through solutions such as API Gateway, Sensedia Adaptive Governance, and Sensedia Flexible Actions, ensuring security, intelligent governance, and flexible automation in API integrations.
Experience Gains
According to Marcelo Maylinch, CIO of Ouribank, the maturity gained with Sensedia’s arrival created a "before and after" scenario, providing a leap in technological knowledge and the technical requirements necessary for an effective strategy.
Strategic Gains
One year after the first phase, results include the integration (or active onboarding) of over 20 global and local partners, the processing of over 2 million monthly operations via APIs, and a 60% reduction in lead time for new partner integration. Additionally, the portal features 98 available endpoints, post-integration errors have dropped by over 50%, and the operation maintains 99.5% availability and reliability.
