Challenge
Until 2024, both the central cooperative and its affiliated cooperatives viewed Open Finance as mandatory. The strategy was pragmatic: first, to master the regulatory aspect. With a lean team managing multiple issues, developing it internally didn't make sense.
The decision: to seek a specialized partner who was constantly involved with the subject.
Sensedia’s role
The Ailos Ecosystem uses Sensedia's API Management platform to connect with the Central Bank. The institution also utilizes PCM (Metrics Collection Platform), JSR* (Journey Without Redirection), and regulatory functionalities to comply with Central Bank regulations.
Sensedia also provides proactive consulting, contributing to the strengthening of the ecosystem and the identification of new opportunities.
*The No-Redirect Journey (JSR) are Open Finance innovation that allows users to complete payments (such as Pix) directly within a store's environment or a digital wallet, without needing to switch to their bank's app. This makes the experience faster and more seamless.
Results
Members can now "bring money from other institutions" via Open Finance, facilitating cash-in and resource consolidation. With rigorous regulatory compliance, the Ailos Ecosystem can free up its internal teams to focus on developing new growth opportunities.
From 2026 onwards, it will direct its energy towards use cases, ROI analysis since 2021, business generation, and data sharing (Phase 2). Topics such as salary portability, credit, and Pix without redirection* are already oriented towards use cases. Regulatory compliance becomes part of the value journey.
*Pix: Brazil’s instant payment system that lets people and businesses send and receive money in real time, 24/7, using simple identifiers (like phone, email, or QR code). The Pix without redirection is a seamless in-app payment flow. You complete a Pix payment without being redirected to another app or bank screen—everything happens inside the merchant’s app or site.
