Algar Telecom makes API governance sustainable with Sensedia
Algar Telecom is a telecommunications and IT company of the Algar Group, operating in 16 Brazilian states and the Federal District, with more than 1.3 million customers.
With a large operation, Algar Telecom faced the challenge of a lack of documentation and alignment with good practices. It hindered visibility and easy access to information, preventing the reuse of APIs.
A test repository was developed to feed API regression tests. Ensuring new implementations do not impact what is not the scope of the change, generating a reduction in the number of errors in production.
The visibility, documentation, and control of APIs gave the benefit of reusing APIs, providing increased productivity, cost reduction and favoring the business areas with fast deliveries.
"We needed a monitoring solution, with control of access release, executions, and validation of tests and that are what Sensedia provided us with their API platform".
Marcus Valério de Q. Brunelli
Head of API/SOA Architecture and Governance of Algar Telecom
