Sensedia Launches U.S. Operations

Sensedia, a company that specializes in service-oriented architecture

(SOA) governance solutions and the reuse of software development assets,

announced today that it has launched operations in the United States with

a focus on growing its global presence. With several Fortune 1000 clients

in the U.S. and Brazilian market, Sensedia is already positioned for

continued growth. By 2010, Sensedia estimates that its sales in the U.S.

market could represent at least 50 percent of its revenues.

Sensedia´s products push companies to adopt smart, measurable, cost-saving

strategies for SOA implementations and the reuse of software development

assets. Many U.S. companies already leverage SOA when building new

software solutions; however, they lack the tools to measure the

effectiveness of its use. Sensedia offers the tools that enable companies

to keep these initiatives under control by providing visibility to manage

existing assets and measure the return on investment (ROI). The company´s

flagship product, Sensedia Repository, leverages a comprehensive set of

features that help gauge the success of projects and provide the necessary

visibility for SOA governance.

"The name Sensedia comes from the word ´sense´ -- because we know that SOA

only makes ´sense´ when it brings concrete benefits for the client´s

business," said Kleber Bacili, founder and CTO, Sensedia. "Sensedia´s goal

is to offer tools and solutions that enable successful projects by

providing SOA governance practices to produce ROI and return on assets

(ROA)."

In addition to its expansion, Sensedia is already laying the groundwork

for continued success in the United States by meeting with industry

analysts and thought leaders in the SOA space. Currently, Sensedia is a

sponsor of Gartner´s Application Architecture, Development & Integration

Summit in Las Vegas this week and was a sponsor for the SOA World

Conference & Expo 2008, in San Jose, Calif., last month.

In addition to Sensedia Repository, the company offers other products,

including Sensedia Discoverer and Sensedia Dashboard for automatic

identification and quality analysis of assets.
