KING OF PRUSSIA, PA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/09/09 -- Sensedia (www.sensedia.com), a company that specializes in service-oriented architecture (SOA) governance solutions and the reuse of software development assets, announced today that leading research firm, Gartner, Inc., has placed Sensedia in the "Visionaries" quadrant of its 2009 "Magic Quadrant for Integrated SOA Governance Technology Sets."(1)

According to the analysts' market overview in the Magic Quadrant, "a growing percentage of customers are including SOA governance technologies in their initial SOA projects." Gartner also states that "customers and technology providers are putting more emphasis on SOA validation and monitoring; the latter is seen as critical to monitoring metrics and measuring success."

The demand for business is always reduced during economic downturns, causing companies to look inward and question the investments they have made. It is during these times that proper SOA governance practices matter the most. By concentrating efforts on organizing and improving the way applications are developed and clearly defining a SOA governance policy, IT departments can be far more prepared to meet business needs when the economy rebounds. In the interim, the business can benefit from the reduced cost and time-to-market of applications.

"The SOA market is experiencing a tremendous amount of change as industry insiders speculate about its health and companies seek a new way to achieve the benefits it promises," said Kleber Bacili, CTO of Sensedia. "Sensedia is focused on ensuring that its customers are able to measure the success of their SOA projects and ultimately meet their critical business objectives."
